Medical device manufacturers work every day to design products that will help improve the care and well-being of both patients and caregivers. But before these devices can find their way to you, these products have to be tested to ensure that they are effective and safe to use. At Core Human Factors, we work with these manufacturers to perform usability studies that examine the safety and effectiveness of their product’s design. In some studies, we’ll test a new device to make sure it can be used safely in its intended environment. In other studies, we’ll evaluate the design of the product’s labeling or of its instructions for use. All of this is done for one reason, to ensure that the design of the products you use are safe.
